私のペンはしばらく止まっている

諦めて机に伏している友人

A room full of teenagers,
each scratching words
into the quiet.

My pen has stopped.
Damn it—
Damn it !

I glance over:
my friend’s given up,
face buried in the desk.

I’m not like you.
I’ll fight to the end—
even if we both
end up losing.
