遠くから

だんだん近づいてくるのがわかる

冬の足音

今年は違う、突然上から飛び降りてきて

ドタバタと音を鳴らしている

秋を返しておくれ

春よ早くきてくれ

From far away,
I can always sense it coming—
the soft, steady footsteps of winter.

But this year is different.
It didn’t walk in at all;
it dropped from the sky,
crashing down with a noisy thud.

Give autumn back.
And spring—
please hurry.
